Ketevan Vashakidze has been leading Europe Foundation for the last ten years. providing it with the vision, leadership and management. She came to the Foundation with extensive international experience in social change focused organisations as she consulted various non-governmental organizations, governments, the World Bank Group, UNDP in South-East Asia, UNICEF in NYC and Bolivia on various development issues. Ms. Vashakidze has chaired and been active on various public and non-profit boards, among them chair-personships of EaP Civil Society Georgian National Platform that brings together more than 165 NGOs, of EFC’s Grantmakers East Forum that promotes philanthropic work in Central and Eastern Europe, and of the EFN that unites ten partner foundations and data-tanks from the US, Europe, and Eurasia. Ms. Vashakidze holds advanced degrees in Social and Economic Geography, Environmental Management, and International Development from Columbia, Edinburgh, and Tbilisi State Universities. She is about to graduate with an Executive MBA degree in Global Management jointly issued by LSE, NYU, and HEC Paris.
