Jakub Dürr assumed his duties as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Issues on in 2016.  Prior to this position he served as the Deputy Head of the Czech Permanent Representation to the EU during 2011-2016. Mr. Dürr also carried out his duties as the Vice-Rector for External Relations (2006-2008) and the Vice-Rector for Foreign Affairs (2010-2011) at Palacký University. At the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Jakub Dürr was the Deputy Minister for European Affairs in 2008-2009. Throughout his career, Mr. Dürr participated in various research projects and grants and authored number of academic publications. Jakub Dürr pursued his studies at Palacký University, Jagiellonian University, Miami University, Central European University and Loughborough University.
